Development, not just a design dropped on a template
In Chattogram, "website development" gets quoted by people who never write a line of code. That's the trap.
The word that trips up most Chattogram owners is "development." When you ask around GEC or Agrabad for cheap website development, half the people quoting you aren't developers at all — they install a free theme, change the colours, drop your logo on top, and call it a build. That's why the numbers come back so scattered: 9,000 taka here, 1,80,000 there, and no way to tell what separates them. The difference isn't the design you see on screen — it's everything underneath.
Real development means code structured so it can be changed, hosting you actually control, forms wired to deliver, and a database that won't choke the day you add your fiftieth product. The cheap quote almost never includes any of that, because the person quoting it doesn't know how to build it.
Chattogram's economy makes this worse than most cities, because so much of the business here is import, trade and logistics — port-side firms, C&F agents, freight and shipping offices, hardware and machinery importers around Khatunganj and Reazuddin Bazar. These businesses don't need a pretty brochure; they need a site that holds a real product or service catalogue, handles enquiries from buyers who may be in Dhaka or overseas, and loads on a phone over patchy port-area 4G.
A template developer can't deliver that — the moment your list runs past a handful of items, or you want a quote form that routes to the right person, the theme starts fighting them. So you pay 9,000 taka, hit the wall in two months, and pay again to have it rebuilt properly. The cheap development was the most expensive version.
I'm RH Fardin, and I'm the only person who touches your project — I plan it, design it, write the code, set up the hosting and SSL, wire the forms, and do the on-page SEO myself. About five years of this for Bangladeshi businesses: importers, garments suppliers, clinics, schools, real estate and shop owners. The reason I can keep low cost website development in Chattogram genuinely low is structural: no office in GEC, no sales layer, no junior practicing on your business, no Dhaka-agency markup riding on top. You're paying for the build, not for the building it sits in — that's where the saving actually comes from, not from skipping the work.
And the number holds. I quote one figure before we start — from 50,000 BDT — you pay 50% to begin and 50% the day the site goes live, and you approve the design before I write a single line of code. No "bhai, eta toh extra" halfway through for the SSL, the contact form, or making it mobile-friendly. If every developer you've spoken to in Chattogram has given you a different answer to the same question, the thing you're really buying from me is a straight one.
